Terms & Conditions – Beds Emporium Ltd

These Terms & Conditions apply to all orders placed with Beds Emporium Ltd via our website or telesales. By placing an order, you agree to be bound by these terms. These terms do not affect your statutory rights.

 

 

1. General

1.1 A contract is formed when we accept your order and issue confirmation. We reserve the right to decline or cancel any order prior to acceptance.
1.2 Please quote your order number when contacting us.
1.3 We may update these Terms & Conditions at any time. The version in force at the time of your order will apply.
1.4 Many items are supplied flat-packed for home assembly. We recommend checking all items and components before arranging third-party assembly services.
1.5 We advise customers not to dispose of existing furniture until new goods have been successfully delivered.
1.6 Memory foam mattresses may be vacuum packed and may require time to fully expand and air.

 

 

2. Orders & Payment

2.1 All prices are displayed in GBP and include VAT where applicable.
2.2 Payment must be made in full at the time of ordering unless using an approved finance provider.
2.3 We reserve the right to cancel orders where pricing errors, stock issues, or suspected fraudulent activity occur.

 

 

3. Delivery

3.1 We offer free standard delivery to most UK mainland addresses. Additional charges may apply to certain postcodes, which will be clearly shown before purchase.
3.2 Once your order is ready for dispatch, you will be contacted to arrange a delivery date.
3.3 Delivery timeframes are estimates:

  • In-stock items: typically within a few days

  • Made-to-order or supplier items: 5–10 working days

  • Remote areas: up to 14 working days
    3.4 Unless otherwise agreed, goods will be delivered within 30 days, in accordance with UK law.
    3.5 Deliveries are made to the main entrance of your property unless a premium service is selected.
    3.6 Risk in the goods passes to you only once the goods are delivered to you.
    3.7 If you miss a confirmed delivery, a redelivery charge may apply.
    3.8 We are not responsible for delays caused by circumstances outside our control, but we will always aim to rearrange delivery promptly.
    3.9 Where access restrictions exist, it is your responsibility to inform us prior to delivery.
    3.10 We may share your contact details with delivery partners solely for the purpose of fulfilling your order.

 

 

4. Your Right to Cancel

4.1 Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your goods.
4.2 You then have an additional 14 days to return the goods.
4.3 To exercise your right to cancel, you must notify us clearly (e.g., by email).
4.4 If you cancel before dispatch, you will receive a full refund.
4.5 If goods have already been dispatched, reasonable delivery or collection costs may be deducted where clearly disclosed.

 

 

5. Returns & Refunds

5.1 You must take reasonable care of goods while in your possession.
5.2 You may inspect goods as you would in a physical shop.
5.3 Items should be returned in their original packaging where possible.
5.4 We may make a reasonable deduction from your refund if goods show signs of excessive handling beyond what is necessary.
5.5 We can arrange a collection service (typically £49), or you may return items yourself at your own cost.
5.6 Refunds will be processed within 14 days of receiving returned goods and may be issued sooner once inspected.
5.7 We may withhold refunds until goods are returned or proof of return is provided.

 

 

6. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Goods

6.1 Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be:

  • As described

  • Fit for purpose

  • Of satisfactory quality
    6.2 If your item is faulty, damaged, or incorrect, please notify us as soon as reasonably possible.
    6.3 You may be asked to provide photographic evidence to help resolve the issue quickly.
    6.4 You are entitled to:

  • A full refund within 30 days if goods are faulty

  • A repair or replacement thereafter
    6.5 These rights cannot be excluded or limited by any of these Terms.

 

 

7. Exchanges

7.1 Exchanges for non-faulty items may be arranged.
7.2 A reasonable fee (e.g., collection/redelivery costs) may apply and will be clearly communicated.

 

 

8. Product Descriptions

8.1 We make every effort to ensure product descriptions, images, and specifications are accurate.
8.2 Colours and finishes may vary slightly due to screen settings or manufacturing tolerances.
8.3 In rare cases where substitution is necessary, we will contact you before proceeding.

 

 

9. Warranty

9.1 Products may include a manufacturer’s warranty covering manufacturing defects only (duration varies by product).
9.2 The warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear

  • Damage caused by misuse, negligence, or improper assembly

  • Unauthorised repairs or alterations
    9.3 Warranty claims may result in repair, replacement, or parts supply at our discretion.
    9.4 This warranty is in addition to your statutory rights.

 

 

10. Assembly & Additional Services

10.1 Optional services such as assembly, room-of-choice delivery, and old item removal may be available at additional cost.
10.2 These services are subject to access conditions and safety considerations.
10.3 Where third-party services are used, reasonable care will be taken, but liability for unavoidable minor damage may be limited where permitted by law.

 

 

11. Limitation of Liability

11.1 Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for:

  • Death or personal injury caused by negligence

  • Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation

  • Your statutory rights
    11.2 We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of income or business.
    11.3 Our total liability shall not exceed the value of your order.

 

 

12. Force Majeure

We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural events, strikes, supply chain disruption, or transport issues.

 

 

13. Data Protection

We comply with UK data protection laws. Your personal data is handled securely and will only be used to process your order or improve our services. We do not sell your data to third parties.

 

 

14. Finance (Klarna)

We may offer payment options via Klarna Bank AB. Payment terms are subject to Klarna’s own conditions and approval process.
